Caluan Ematt was a former member of the Rebel Alliance where he lead a Special Recon team known as the Shrikes. He scouted locations to relocate the Rebel Alliance following the Battle of Yavin. On one occasion he was rescued by Han Solo from the planet Cyrkon. Ematt was the sole survivor of the Shrikes after an ambush on Taanab. As a major in the Resistance, he serves under General Leia Organa.
